We only saw each other during the week on special occasions, however I spent every weekend down there! It was a difficult way to sustain a relationship, so on August 13th, 2010 I made the move down to Salt Lake...

"How We Met"

I guess the first posts of these should always be the "How we met..." post, right? So I'll tell you our story; it's nothing fancy or romantic, it's actually very... boring. Haha. We both do Photography and became 'friends' on MySpace (sad, isn't it?) and would respond to each other's bulletin posts every couple of days and eventually started talking. After a few of weeks we decided to exchange phone numbers and soon the harmless flirting began... However, the 'harmless flirting' never turned into anymore than just that. We were both just out of ending relationships and didn't really want to start anything new, we were just looking for friendship.

This lasted for quite a few months with us even going out on dates and it just feeling so awkward... we got along great, but we just weren't ready I guess! We decided just to stay friends. Then Trent asked me to go camping with his family over the 24th of July weekend in 2009; I decided to go and we had a blast! But still... nothing happened, haha. A few weeks later he came camping with my family and the same thing happened... nothing. Well, I was getting a little frustrated by this time... We had been fairly good friends for 8 months and got along great - why wasn't this working?

Out of simply hope and wishing for good luck, I invited him to my cousins birthday dinner. Every year we all end up going to Olive Garden as a family and it's a really fun time! I don't know why I felt like I should invite him, but something in me was like "just try this, see how it goes...". So I did. The night was awesome. It was the same week in August where the sky was filled with Meteor Showers and everything just played out... and somehow we end up kissing goodnight. ;)

Well that's that! We've been dating ever since :) August 12th, 2009.
